Help Those Who Can't Advocate for Themselves
Over 10 million Americans today suffer from a serious mental illness.
Many are receiving little, if any treatment.
Far too many are homeless and dying.
They are being abused, neglected, tortured, shackled, subjected to solitary confinement, left naked in cells, covered in feces, and taken out of jails in body bags.
We must act with urgency and compassion for those who simply aren't in a position to advocate for themselves. And, we must come together to help their families and caregivers who have often been fighting for decades to get them the proper care and treatment we all deserve.
